Get familiar with the tools on Inkscape by creating a beautiful snowflake.Â
We are going to create Snowflakes that are in a 100mm x 100mm canvas
Open Inkscape and go to File > Document Properties
Change Custom Size to 100mm W x 100mm H
Make sure you check the Show page Border'
Make sure you save the file.
If you lose your canvas or are Zoomed in too far you can get back to the whole canvas by using shortcut key 5
If you select the Zoom Tool by using the shortcut key Z there are more options and you will see these options at the top.
You've already got your set up so watch this tutorial starting at about 45sec.
You only need to create one.
Now that you understand how to make one you are to create your own unique snowflake.
Have some fun
Once you are happy you need to save the files in the appropriate format.
Firstly save the inkscape file (should have been doing this along the way)
Then you need to Export and Inkscape is set up as PNG. For this example we are going to export the Page.
Make sure your file is saved, you can used the Inkscape .svg file
Put your file on a usb and head to the laser cutter
