Open your original file
Then File > Save As
You should include your name and project type
i.e. yourname_character_lasercutter_softtoy.svg

Separate the different pieces and add in the stitch holes.
3mm hole
5mm from edge
10mm between holes
A useful tool for checking this is the Measurement Tool (M) in Inkscape
Important! Before finishing the project make all the shapes transparent fill with a black line. Ask your teacher to check this.
When this is done put it in the folder your teacher tells you to.

Step 4 - Sew together your PIECES

Stitch together the pieces using the holes as a guide. There are lots of ways to do this but in this example a simple under over stitch using yarn worked and then alternating this on the second pass. Remember that before fully sewing it up that you stuff your creation.
It is easiest to attach accessories and eyes before sewing together the main body
